Kiran Vaidhya Venkadesh

Kiran is a Ph.D. candidate in the Department of Radiology and Nuclear Medicine at Radboud University Medical Center. He started work at the Diagnostic Image Analysis Group, from 1st November 2019, on early lung cancer detection with emphasis on multi time-point analysis on chest CT scans using deep learning. He is supervised by Colin Jacobs and Bram van Ginneken.

Kiran completed his Bachelor's and Master's degrees in the Engineering Design department at IIT Madras, in 2016, with a specialization in Biomedical Design. His Master's thesis was on brain tumor segmentation deep learning and worked at the MiRL lab. After his graduation, he worked at Predible Health as an AI Scientist and developed deep learning solutions for medical image analysis for the Indian healthcare system.
